O Lord, I worship You— Today, tomorrow, and forever. You are my rock and my salvation. There is none like You; Why wouldn’t I serve a God so faithful?

You carried me through school, Blessed me with a six-figure income, And gave me the most beautiful woman. Everything was going well—until it wasn’t.

Two years later, The income suddenly stopped… Still, I held on to my faith— God is able to restore.

Six months between jobs…

O Lord, are You still there? I’ve been serving You daily, But it feels like You’re not listening anymore. Didn’t You say You’d answer when I call?

Why does it feel like my call is going to voicemail? Maybe this “God thing” isn’t for me.

Then came a tempting offer: I got a call from a friend: “I have a quick job for you.”

“You don’t have to do anything. Just send me your account number. You’ll see a large sum of money. Take 20% and send me the rest.”

God, is that You? No, that’s not Me. Be patient, My son. That must be the voice of the devil. I rebuke you, devil!

Wow—$50,000 just like that? “Thank You, Jesus!” Nope. That wasn’t My provision. Ehn? Well… thank You all the same.

Then I became a full-time hustler

Living a double life and no one needed to know. After all, I was still a worker in church. Next week, I’d dedicate my Benz.

“Congratulations, Brother!” “It’s the grace of God o!”

But…

One day, I got caught. I was sentenced to prison. Broken and depressed, I cried out to God:

Why did you leave me? I was faithful to You. Why did You abandon me?

And God answered: “You pledged to follow Me—today, tomorrow, and forever. But you left Me. You only loved Me in your highest moments, But deserted Me in your lowest. I never left you. I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Psalm 86:7, Deuteronomy 31:8)

I’m sorry, Lord. Please forgive me. I re-dedicate my life to You. (John 3:16) I will follow You—today, tomorrow, and forever.

Are you like me? Are you still trusting God in your lowest moments? Or are you considering other ways to “help” God?

He is with you—no matter what you’re going through: The health issues, the immigration delays, the doctor’s report, The loss of a loved one, the ‘difficult’ child, The miscarriages, the negative pregnancy tests, The debts, the academic struggles, the rejection letters…

God is never late.

“Don’t try to rush God’s timing by forcing the outcome.” Don’t give up. Take courage from Apostle Paul in Philippians 1:6:

“Being confident of this very thing, That He who has begun a good work in you Will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

And if you’ve strayed like I did

God is never far. He’s just a call away. He’s waiting to hear you say:

‘Today, Tomorrow, and Forever, I will worship you’
